I finally picked up The Biblio Diet book that I had placed on hold—17 people ahead of me.

That alone says something!

I joke that I’m always reading health and wellness books… but here I am again. Page 2 in and already feeling sad, angry, and lit up to do better—not just for myself, but for others.

Save your money and let’s start where real change happens- in the kitchen.

One of the easiest places to being? Snack swaps.
Start paying attention to what’s actually in your snacks and how often you’re reaching for them. When meals are truly nourishing, snacks should be just that- a snack, not another meal.

🍿 Popcorn is one of my kids’ favorite snacks. It goes to school with them and shows up on our moving nights, too. And when it’s homemade, you control everything that goes into it.

I start with organic popcorn, grab my large cast iron pit, and heat healthy fats.
👉 Fun fact: not all oils can tolerate high heat. Some (like olive oil) can become rancid when heated.

Our go-to combo: ghee, red palm oil, and coconut oil.
Melt them together(1/4 cup each), add the popcorn (1 cup), and let the magic begin ✨

Once it’s done popping, I drizzle melted butter (1/4 cup) over the top and finish with redmond real salt for extra flavor and nutrients.

Simple. Nourishing. Delicious.
Small swaps like this add up- and that’s where the real change starts 💛

🥣 Soup season is here! ❄️

The weather has finally shifted and those cooler temps are here…which means it’s officially warm, comforting soup season in our house. 😀

One of my favorite ways to warm up (and nourish everyone!) is by making big batches of soup. It’s such an easy way to get in mineral-rich, easy-to-digest bone broth, and it’s perfect for making leftovers or packing into the kids’ thermoses for school lunches. 🙌

This week we tried a new recipe:
✨ Easy Cheeseburger Soup from FarmhouseOnBoone ✨

Here is the recipe if you want to try it too:

Ingredients:
• 1 tbsp butter (or coconut oil)
• 2 onions diced
• 5 stalks of celery, diced
• 5 cloves of garlic, minced
• 4 large potatoes, chopped (I used red potatoes)
• 6 cups of chicken broth
• 2 lbs ground beef, browned
• 2 tsp dried parley
• 1 tsp salt
• black pepper to taste
• 10 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
• additional toppings options: bacon and/or raw cream

Instructions:

1. In a large pot over medium heat, warm the oil/butter
2. Add onions + celery and saute 3-5 mins
3. Add garlic, cook 1-2 mins
4. Add carrots + potatoes
5. Pour in broth and simmer ~ 20 mins until veggies are soft
6. Brown the ground beef, drain if needed, add to pot
7. Add parsley, salt, and pepper
8. Remove from heat, stir in shredded cheese
9. Serve with your favorite toppings

Homemade meatballs for the win 🙌

I’m not a big weekly/monthly meal-prepped, but I always keep the boys’ lunch staples ready. A good thermos is our best friend, and we rotator through 4-5 favorites each week- meatballs are always a hit.

Sometimes I send them warm meatballs with pasta sauce + shredded cheese, and when I want to switch it up, I’ll add noodles. And if you need a clean, mom/nutritionist-approved noodle rec: Etto Pasta 👊 One ingredient, organic American grain, pure semolina flour, made in California- and the shapes are so fun (we just ordered the dog-shaped ones 🐶).

Homemade lunches>>>school lunches when you can control what goes in the thermos and pack something delicious, warm and filling. ❤️
