Programs and services include Integrated Adult Day, Supportive Living, Transportation and Workforce Development. In 1970, a non-profit corporation in Delaware County was incorporated under the name of the Delaware County Sheltered Workshop for developmentally disabled adults. In 1980, the company changed its name to Alpha Industries, a private non-profit corporation, and moved into the 12,000 sq. facility located near the Delaware Industrial Park in Delaware, OH. In 1989, the name was changed to The Alpha Group of Delaware, Inc. This was necessary as several independent divisions were developed to meet the needs of the diversified customer base. The Alpha Group of Delaware, Inc, is a not-for profit 501-C (3) organization that has provided gainful employment and quality rehabilitation and adult day support services to consumers in the Delaware and surrounding counties in Ohio since 1970. March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. At The Alpha Group, we provide programs and services to more than 500 individuals with developmental disabilities in 11 counties in Ohio. One of these programs is supportive living. This service provides assistance for individuals with disabilities so they can remain living in their own home. With a custom plan to offer as little or as much support as needed, each individual will be supported in maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
