Louis has been building a legacy in the kitchen at Ohio Living Llanfair since he was 16 years old. “I have grown up in this building,” he said, and he likes “nothing better than chatting with my residents and their families.” Louis loves the stories they tell – and the recipes they share.
One of the other things Louis appreciates about his role here is the way his co-workers all cooperate and look after one another. “We all work together as one and get the job done. When someone is down, we lift them up and try to keep things positive and have each other’s back.”
This dedication to teamwork and growth is felt throughout the entire kitchen, and Louis expressed his gratitude for how much he’s learned from his supervisor in particular. Beyond recipes, cooking from scratch, prepping food and putting it into production, “having someone who is hands-on teaching and answering questions… shows me that I can learn new things every day.”
