My Nana and aunties used to make this when I was young, but it turns out the recipe was never written out. When I asked them for it they could remember the ingredients, but not the ratios so I was thrilled to find your recipe. Tasted just as I remember... maybe even better. Simple and delicious!

Amish Baked Custard

Ingredients:

4 large eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
3 cups whole milk, heated until warm
Ground cinnamon for topping

Baked cabbage steaks preheat oven 400 wash and remove outer leaves trim stem off ,cut 1 to 1 1/2 inch steaks brush both sides with olive oil, garlic salt and pepper both sides bake 30 to 40 minutes I like mine at 40 min so edges start to brown delicious and calorie friendly.

Grew up with this frosting

7 MINUTE FROSTING

Old fashioned 7 Minute Frosting that tastes like marshmallow cream. A light and fluffy frosting for just about any cake!

2 large egg whites unbeaten
1 Β½ cups granulated sugar
β…“ cup cold water
ΒΌ teaspoon cream of tartar or 1 teaspoon corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

π—œπ—»π˜€π˜π—Ώπ˜‚π—°π˜π—Άπ—Όπ—»π˜€
Combine the egg whites, sugar, water and cream of tartar in the top of a double boiler. Mix thoroughly.
Place over boiling water and beat constantly until mixture holds a peak. This will take at least 7 minutes, but most likely closer to 10 minutes.
Remove from the heat.
Add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread.
Makes 5-6 cups of frosting.
Notes
The calories shown are based on the recipe frosting a cake that serves 15, with 1 serving the frosting for one slice of cake (about 1/3 cup).

Apple Pie Enchiladas - Incredibly easy to make and are Out Of This World Good!
Ingredients:
1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water

Big Boy’s Fresh Strawberry Pie
Ingredients
1 frozen pie crust
1 1/4 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 1/4 cups water
3 tbsp strawberry jelly
2 cups strawberries, sliced
Instructions
Bake frozen pie crust according to the directions on the package. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together sugar, cornstarch and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 or so minute, until thickened.
Whisk in strawberry jelly. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
Add strawberries to the cooled pie crust, then pour over strawberry jelly mixture. Refrigerate for a few hours until set.

My favorite way to make Brussels sprouts...marinated overnight! In a gallon size zip bag combine juice of 1 lemon, 1 T olive oil, pepper, paprika and garlic salt. Add in Brussels (cut in half or quartered), seal bag and toss around until well coated. Refrigerate overnight. When ready to roast, preheat oven to 400, place Brussels on baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes. Feel free to eat the entire pan, they are that good! πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š
