Charles Schmidt, age, 81, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, SD. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Sioux Falls with Fr. Jerry Ranek celebrating. Burial will follow a time of lunch and fellowship, at Berg Cemetery near Renner, SD. Visitation will be Monday, February 9, 2026 from 5 – 7 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids, SD. There will be a Rosary said for Charles at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Friday, February 6, 2026, at Baltic Lutheran Church. Interment will be at the East Nidaros Lutheran Cemetery, rural Baltic. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Thursday, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic.

Robert “Bob” Wayne Johnson, age 82, of Crooks, passed away January 20, 2026 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Renner Lutheran Church. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM on January 31, 2026, also at Renner Lutheran Church. One of Bob’s favorite lunches will be served after the service. Burial will follow shortly after lunch at the West Nidaros Lutheran Cemetery outside of Crooks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Tri-Valley Booster Club or Renner Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM Friday, January 23, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Garretson. Interment will be in the Norway Lutheran Cemetery, rural Garretson. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Thursday, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Zion Lutheran Building Fund or Norway Cemetery.

Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 at The United Methodist Church in Chester, SD with Rev. Dr. Susan Jennys officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.

Howard Dean Swier, age 76 of Crooks, SD, passed away, surrounded by family, at his home in Crooks on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

A time of visitation for Howard will take place from 1:00 to 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Colton, SD. Also at the funeral home will be a prayer service beginning at 2:30, followed by burial at St. Ansgar Cemetery, rural Colton, SD.

Gregory Johnson, age 68, formerly of Baltic, passed away in Sioux Falls on December 30 with loving family by his side, following an aortic aneurism. Greg’s family wishes to thank the staff of Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health in Yankton for their many years of loving assistance to Greg. Also, our appreciation to Hudson Assisted Living and Ava’s House in Sioux Falls.

Memorials may be directed to Baltic Lutheran Church or NAMI South Dakota (National Alliance for Mental Illness)

Private family services will be held.

Kathleen Myre, age 65, of Garretson, SD passed away peacefully at her home early Wednesday morning in Garretson.

Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Garretson, SD with Rev. Corey Scott officiating. Burial will follow at the Jasper City Cemetery in Jasper, MN.

Visitation with family present will be Tuesday, January 13th from 5 – 7 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Garretson.
