Meet Abby Yereance, one of our Patient Service Associates. Abby joined the team in August 2025 with a background in Health Science and Policy from Siena College. Abby brings a consistently positive presence to our clinic. She is always smiling, attentive, and proactive, going above and beyond to support both patients and therapists.
Her favorite part of working in an outpatient therapy office? Watching patients make real progress and get better through treatment.
Fun fact: Abby comes from the well-known D’Addario family of guitar string makers!

At AMC Outpatient Rehabilitation, we strive to incorporate the latest technology into our care. One of our favorite tools are BlazePods, which are interactive devices shown in the video below that turn therapy into an engaging experience. BlazePods help improve reaction time, can help with balance, coordination, and agility, as well as cognition and memory. Whether we’re working on injury recovery, fall prevention, or everyday functional tasks, this technology allows us to customize treatment, track progress, and challenge patients in a valuable way.

AMC Outpatient Rehab ended the holiday season on a meaningful note by collecting toiletries and clothing for the Capital City Rescue Mission to help provide comfort and warmth to those in need in our community.🧤❄️

As we wrap up another year in our Physical & Occupational Therapy Department, we’re grateful for our dynamic team of therapists and the patients and community we’re able to serve.
This year reflected our continued commitment to quality care and collaboration, as well as plenty of moments to celebrate progress, both big and small.
We look forward to continuing to serve our community in the coming year and wish everyone a healthy and happy new year.🎊✨

Speech and language disorders are common in adults with neurodegenerative conditions (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease) or after experiencing a stroke (e.g., aphasia). Some people have difficulties understanding language, whereas other people have difficulty expressing themselves. Some people have difficulties with both. Effective communication is a shared responsibility between speaker and listener. Here are some tips to be a good communication partner!
