I plan to make a video talking about a condition or complaint that clients come to me describing fairly often.

Clients can usually open up about numbness and tingling in the hands/fingers.

My usual suspicion is the thoracic outlet. When muscles become tight and can cause compression on the brachial plexus nerves.

I'll usually spend a whole treatment directly focused on trigger point therapy within the neck, chest, biceps, extensors, and flexors of the arm. Sometimes, the shoulder blade as well.

It's just like what happens when your sciatic nerve becomes compressed within the glutes. Our brachial plexus nerves can become compressed as well.

The Pectoralis Major

This is a beefy muscle, it's broad and powerful.
The pec can cause some serious discomfort if it's being shorted. You see how it inserts on your humerus? I.e. can cause shoulder issues as if it becomes too tight it will bring your shoulder(s) forward. The insertion is always brought to the origin. Never origin to insertion. The actions of this muscle is ADDucting the shoulder, medically rotating, flexing, horitontally rotating and extension. This muscle also assists with elevating the thorax during forced inhalation.

This Muscle has upper and lower fibers

The upper fibers are responsible for flexion and horizontally ADDucting the shoulder

The lower fibers extend the shoulder

This muscle it's own antagonist, flexing and extending the shoulder

Here we have your deep six👇🏼

The main point of this is to visually show you this muscle group and how it incorporates your sciatic nerve. You see how it is right between your piriformis and the obturator internus?
As all these deep hip/glute muscles laterally rotate your hip but the piriform is the only one that ABducts (so assists to move the hip away from the body) if the piriformis is overcontracted it can compress your sciatic nerve.
Cupping is placed directly on the origin and insertion of this muscle to over ride that contraction with the goal of relaxing it and stop the compression of the sciatic nerve. Can happen instantly or over a few treatments.

Some of my assisted stretching is also focused on the pin and stretch of these muscles. Focusing on the origin of alot of these muscles.
