Sometimes improving our relationships can require re-examining what we believe a “good partner” is. We often focus on measuring our partner's success at meeting our expectations rather than evaluating where those expectations came from in the first place. So before we bring our partners a laundry list of all the things they're doing wrong, we should first take a step back and ask ourselves is the problem them or is the problem our expectations?
