Is your kid stuttering?! Did you know that boys stutter 3x more than girls?! Here are some tips to help encourage fluent speech
🍂 Let your child finish their word or sentence on their own. Never finish their words or sentences for them.
🍂 Try to ignore it! Do not draw attention to their stuttering.
🍂 Slow down during transitions. Try to be more mindful about slowing down vs. rushing when transitioning to/from your home.
🍂 Model slower, easy speech without the pressuring them to imitate it.
🍂When in doubt, reach out to for an evaluation! We are here to help!

Tip Tuesday! Get out your dancing shoes and grab your microphone! 🎤

💃🎶Sing songs and dance with your littles!
💃🎶Songs introduce new vocabulary, rhymes and gestures.
💃🎶Your child will be expecting specific words during songs and will learn to pair words with gestures. Once they know a song, feel free to leave a word out to see if they fill it in on their own!

We are bringing back our Tip Tuesday!

🎃Be silly. Be goofy. Be funny! Having fun with your child while modeling language is the best way to help their language develop more quickly.
🎃Keep your speech simple and concise when giving directions.
🎃Ask open-ended questions to encourage use of descriptive language.
🎃Expand your child's length of utterance by repeating what they say and adding 1 or 2 words (without the pressure of them repeating you).
