What is Plantar Fasciitis and why is it so hard for people just like you to get rid of?
Well, this tissue on the bottom of your foot is very active in our absorption of impact and it is abundantly present during our natural “recoil” ability to propel ourselves forward.
Walking, running, or even playing our favorite sport depends on a coordinated “sequence of events” and many structures “working together” It is actually quite remarkable how we move about!!
Well, just like any tissues in our beautiful human bodies…the plantar fascia has a “capacity” it can sustain without injury AND microtears in this tissue also need adequate healing time….Especially when it has been pushed past it’s limits!
The “reason” the Plantar Fascia is being “overcapacitated” MUST be determined! ….if it is not… You are on a hamster wheel… for years to come….. and you actually develop several other issues from the big toe all the way up your leg into your pelvis… And then up your spine.
So, when people come to see me….it is no wonder they say to me “I have tried everything….I rolled my foot on a frozen water bottle, I stretch, I had Cortisone shots, i bought all sorts of inserts, I even got the BEST “custom orthotics…and they weren’t cheap!!”
Plantar Fasciitis requires a “Strategy” as opposed to non-deliberate exercises that are prescribed to everyone on you tube! And certainly, Cortisone (even if it sometimes can give temporary relief) is just kicking the can down the road and actually can be slowly and silently aging your foot structures prematurely.
Your foot and your foot issue…is not “everyone else’s”
Treat your feet like you need them to be there for you for 100 years!
See you soon 🙂🙏🏻
