October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Each October (and my other times throughout the year) I'm reminded of my own experience.
This was me - late at night, in the hospital, in the middle of a snow storm, going through a pregnancy loss with my then 3 year old by my side. My husband wasn't able to physically be there and I was without childcare options. I sent this picture to my husband to let him know "I've got this, we're okay." I put on a brave face for my son and made him believe we were on "an adventure", while physically, I was in rough shape. But this is what we women do. We're stronger than we think and we overcome! 💪
