I am excited to share that I have recently achieved a new credential as an International Certified Gambling Counselor (ICGC-1). As part of this journey, I completed 60 hours of training in Gambling Disorder including Assessment and Screening, Evidenced-Based Treatment Modalities, Addressing Co-Occurring Disorders, Family and Relationship Dynamics, Special Populations and Cultural Considerations, Age Considerations, Relapse Prevention and Recovery Management, and Professional Ethics.

In addition to the coursework, I completed over 100 hours of supervised gambling counseling. Thank you so much to my mentor Daniel Kaufmann Dr. Gameology for your guidance and support. I have provided consultation for some well-regarded local treatment centers and look forward to continuing our relationships.

As a complex process disorder, treating Gambling is different than treating Substance Use Disorders. There are different sub types of gamblers and ways to support them.
