We were excited to try the new ice cream place in the Sundy Village, Van Leeuwen. They have a ton of unique flavors like mango sticky rice, strawberry matcha latte, and honeycomb plus the classics. We tried the marrionberry cheesecake, black cherry, chocolate and strawberry. Everything was great! The staff was really friendly and were happy to explain about the different flavors, plus you can taste as many as you want. They even have vegan flavors if you need. They did a great job inside, very bright, colorful and inviting. It’s one of the refurbished historic homes in Sundy Village, came out great! 👍 Kept the historic charm with a modern twist. Visit them at Atlantic Ave and Swinton.

Wow! 🤩 So happy we finally have an amazing AND affordable pita/shawarma spot in downtown Delray! Everything we had was so flavorful — I know we’ll be regulars here. The Ave needed something like this.

We got a chicken shawarma sandwich on grilled pita and a tabouli salad topped with falafel and fries — every bite was perfect. We finished it with a rosewater lemonade and baklava for dessert 🍋🍰 unreal!

We’ve been fans of the owner, Nicolas(on the left), and his family since they opened Amar Restaurant a few years ago in the same spot where the new Amar Sandwich Shop now stands. Amar was so successful they moved down the street to Atlantic and Federal. It’s an upscale Mediterranean restaurant with a great vibe — they even have a belly dancer every Friday and Saturday night! 💃

Definitely do yourself a favor and try out both spots — especially the new sandwich shop. 🌯✨
