Wayside House is a nonprofit providing a 90-day residential services, day/night (PHP) and IOP for women ages 18 and older seeking recovery from alcohol or drug abuse and co-occurring conditions in a serene South Florida setting. Rooted in the 12-step tradition of Alcoholics Anonymous, the program includes yoga, exercise and art, equine and horticulture therapies to heal body, mind and spirit.

🌟 You know it’s going to be a wonderful day when your first meeting is with Palm Beach County Commissioner Maria Sachs, Director of Palm Beach County Community Services Department Dr. James Green, Director for Palm Beach County Community Services Department, Colette Makenian and Assistant Chief of Staff to Commissioner Sachs, Albert Medina.
💬 Together, we addressed the importance of supporting and accommodating our unhoused citizens—a priority we deeply value as many of our women come to us for recovery services without homes of their own.
🙏 Wayside House is grateful for the visit and meaningful conversation, and we look forward to the next steps in this important work.
