Op**te Detox West Palm Beach

Dr. Michael Ligotti has completed a training program sponsored by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry in the use of Suboxone for the Op**te Detox West Palm Beach, and the treatment of op**te-addicted patients. Suboxone is part of helping the “NEw Breed of Drug Addict” with medication assisted therapy (MAT) that lowers the mortality rate, and decreases cases of Hep C and Aids. Op**tes are derived from the poppy seed and include he**in, methadone, and a large class of prescription medications used for pain control. Generic names for pain medications are hydrocodone, oxycodone, codeine, fentanyl, hydromorphone, morphine, and more. Some common brand names for these medications are Norco, Percocet, Percodan, Oxycontin, Roxicodone, Roxicet, Vicodin, Lorcet, Lortab, Vicoprofen, Dilaudid, Duragesic, MS Contin, Demerol, Fioricet or Fiorinal with codeine, and others. Methadone is a very potent op**te used in licensed facilities to treat illicit op**te dependence. The drug is effective in reducing cravings and in decreasing illegal drug-seeking behaviors. Unfortunately, Methadone is also very highly addicting. Suboxone is used to allow people to discontinue Methadone therapy and return to a normal, productive life. He**in use is on the rise in the U.S. and the purity of the drug is much increased from years past. Current he**in users must deal with a much greater withdrawal syndrome than previous addicts due to the strength of the drug they are using. Suboxone is used with great success in detoxifying he**in addicts and allowing them to become productive members of society. Special training and DEA authorization is required for a physician to offer office-based op**te detoxification using Suboxone. Dr. Ligotti is among a very small number of physicians licensed to offer this treatment in a private office-based setting. Prior to the Drug addiction Treatment Act (DATA) of 2000 the only out-patient based treatment for op**te-addicted patients was Methadone, which is very addicting in and of itself, and must be obtained through specific government-sponsored treatment facilities. Suboxone one of a few approved medications for office-based, rapid out-patient detoxification from op**te-addiction. The use of this medication in the out-patient setting allows individuals with narcotic dependence or addiction to continue their lives while making positive progress towards living a drug-free lifestyle. Suboxone are sublingual tablets that are dissolved in the patient’s mouth beneath the tongue. The medication is pharmacologically similar to op**te drugs, but does not cause the same “high” as the commonly abused drugs. They do, however, block to a great degree the chemicals in our body responsible for feelings of addiction and withdrawal. Additionally, since Suboxone act on the same receptors as op**tes, if a patient in treatment attempts to “get high” he or she is unable to do so. “Getting high” becomes a non-pleasurable, unrewarding experience. In this way a patient may discontinue their op**te use and avoid illegal, dangerous drug-seeking acts. The specific dosages are individually tailored by Dr. Ligotti to fit the patient’s unique circumstance and degree of op**te dependence. A patient who visits Whole-Health for rapid out-patient op**te detoxification is first interviewed by Dr. Ligotti at no charge to determine whether the program is a good treatment option for that individual. An assessment is made by Dr. Ligotti as to what degree of withdrawal the patient is experiencing and the doctor is able to time the initiation of therapy perfectly based on the patient’s symptoms. The patient is then sent home with medication and seen back the next day to determine what dosage and strength of medication the patient will require. Once an effective dose of medication is found the patient can be seen at the office at longer intervals. This is often weekly until it is possible to discontinue the Out-Patient Op**te Addiction Treatment. Suboxone Treatment West Palm

There is an initial fee (available upon request), and then subsequent office visit fees until the patient is totally detoxed from op**tes. Most of our Op**te Detox West Palm Beach patients are able to be completely drug-free in a matter of days. Some patients with a long history of addiction to large quantities of very potent op**tes will require a longer treatment course. Stable, well-controlled patients requiring longer therapy may be given 30 days of medication and seen at one month intervals until they are able to be completely taken off of Suboxone. The treatment course is very individualized and is constructed for each patient by Dr. Ligotti. If you or a loved one has a dependence or addiction to op**te medications there may be effective out-patient therapy by Suboxone Doctors to allow you to discontinue using drugs. Stop living to get high and start living to enjoy life! Allow Dr. Ligotti to determine if you are a good candidate for this treatment. You may be able to very quickly discontinue dangerous narcotics without painful, miserable side-effects and without hospitalization.
