Delta Surgical Associates opened its doors in 2003 with the goal of offering state-of-the-art surgical care for residents of Delta County and the surrounding ares. We are committed to the privilege of practicing surgery and providing high quality care on the Western Slope. Delta Surgical Associates, in conjunction with Delta County Memorial Hospital, provides advance, state-of-the-art MRI guided breast biopsy techniques. The MRI guided breast biopsy will provide the patient with a safe and comfortable alternative for breast biopsies. Some breast lesions cannot be seen with either the use of ultrasound or digital radiology systems and therefore cannot be biopsied. Magnetic Resonance used in MRI is much more sensitive to soft tissue lesions and without it, some breast lesions cannot be visualized resulting in a delay of care. This new procedure offered at DCMH will enhance the quality of patient care and assist with earlier cancer detection. We also perform a wide range of general surgery care including advanced laparoscopic procedures for hernias, gallbladder and gastroesophageal reflux disease, as well as surgical care for many different types of cancer. We also provide screening and therapeutic endoscopy, as well as care for trauma patients. In addition, patients can access their medical information that is specific to our office through our online Patient Portal. Together with our competent front office staff and medical assistants, and our highly qualified surgeons, we can offer exceptional timely and compassionate medical care to Delta County and the surrounding communities.
