Starting on February 6, 2026, the Delta Health Oncology and Hematology Clinic will be closed on Fridays. The Department will still be open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to accommodate patients. The Delta Health Infusion Center remains open on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This week is IV Nurses Week, a dedicated time to recognize the essential role of infusion nurses. Andrea Wood, RN, is one of Delta Health’s Oncology, Hematology, and Infusion nurses, as well as our Oncology Nurse Navigator. She truly exemplifies what it means to “ignite health and inspire hope.” 🌟
Andrea has been with Delta Health for 13 years, starting her career on the Med/Surg floor before transitioning to the Infusion Center. “The patients I get to meet bring me the most joy,” said Andrea. “The interaction and connection that forms is everlasting; they become like family and friends. Having a positive impact on patients during their medical journey is very rewarding.”
When Andrea is not at work, she enjoys being with her family and spending time outdoors camping and paddle boarding. She loves following her children’s sports and academic achievements and spends time on her small hobby farm tending to her goats, bees, and various species of poultry.

Delta Health’s Board Chair Matt Soper, Interim CEO Julie Huffman, and Public Information Officer Darnell Place-Wise recently traveled to Baltimore and Washington DC, to meet with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, as well as members of the Colorado Congressional Delegation.
These meetings served as an invaluable opportunity to talk about Delta Health, and the difficult rural landscape in which we operate. We are incredibly grateful Congressman Hurd, Congressman Evans, and Congressman Crank , as well as Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper’s policy team members, for taking time out of their incredibly busy schedules to meet with us.
