Friday, we held our first art class with Mrs. Sierra Murphy for Cancer survivors, thrivers and caregivers. Because of your support of the Foundation, we can offer these classes. Thank you! Some of the benefits for our patients include:

Decrease stress, anxiety, and depression with a focus on creativity rather than diagnosis
Provides a sense of control when many areas feel chaotic
Accessible to all
Reduce feelings of loneliness, connecting patients with others who understand their experience

Next month will feature Chair Yoga with our Wellness Director, Mrs. Angela Schumacher. Stay tuned for details on how to support and/or sign up.

Today, the hospital launched its new scripting initiative — The Whit Way — inspired by Chick-fil-A’s signature “My pleasure” approach to customer service.
To celebrate the kickoff, employees enjoyed Chick-fil-A Chicken Minis and were entered into a drawing for a Chick-fil-A gift card.
The Whit Way is designed to promote consistent, patient-centered messaging across our organization. Team members are now expected to greet patients with, “Welcome to the Whit” and close interactions with, “Thank you for choosing the Whit!”
