Whitfield Foundation hosted its first Pink Power Luncheon today. The event was free and hosted by the Whitfield Foundation. Attendees were encouraged to wear pink. Lunch and goody bags were provided, as well as a drawing with door prizes. The event allowed patients and caregivers an opportunity to fellowship and make connections. 35 were in attendance with the Foundation making plans to hold more events to support patients with different types quarterly. If you are interested in learning more about supporting the Foundation or being part of a cancer support group, contact Ashley Coplin at 334-287-3503 or email acoplin@bwwmh.com.

"No one fights alone was this year's theme for our first Pink Power Luncheon." Patients often feel isolated when they are diagnosed with cancer but do not have to be. We are working on events throughout the year that support cancer patients to ensure they have the support they need." - Whitfield Foundation Director, Ashley Coplin

Soiree Donor Invite Day 1

Yesterday, students from Demopolis High School, including Amzie Snipes, Shakayla Catlin, and Levi Smelley, along with Violet Smelley from Demopolis Middle School, actively participated in outreach efforts to engage Soiree donors.

They presented invitations and cheesecakes to these valued supporters for the upcoming Soiree, which is set to take place on January 24, 2026.

The initiative, known as Soiree Donor Days, will continue throughout October and into early November, emphasizing the importance of community involvement and support.

We would like to express our gratitude to the following donors who have generously pledged their support for this year's event: Chanticleer Center, Parr's Inc., Mr. & Mrs. William T. Coplin, Jr., Naheola Credit Union, and Smurfit WestRock.

We encourage everyone to stay tuned for further updates on the Soiree Donor tour as it progresses.
