There were plenty of smiles at Oak Grove the other day when some adorable baby chicks came to visit! 🐥💛

Our residents had an absolute blast spending time with these fluffy little friends. Animals always have a special way of brightening the day and bringing joy to everyone around them!

We love creating fun, heartwarming moments like these here at Oak Grove.

Every Monday in April from 10–11 a.m., Jasper County Community Services, VNA NWI Hospice, and Phoenix Center for Grief will present “Walking Together Through Grief,” a free grief support series for adults who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

Held at the Fase Senior Center, this series is open to the community and combines education with open discussion about grief, loss, coping strategies, and more. Topics include:

• Where do I go from here?
• What does normal look like?
• Am I okay when I don’t feel okay?
• How do I start a new chapter without my loved one?
• Regret, second guessing, and “Monday morning quarterbacking”

March is Team Member Appreciation Month, and today we’re excited to recognize Macey Siminski, CNA at Oak Grove! 💙

Macey has always had a heart for caring for others. She first joined Oak Grove while still in high school and quickly fell in love with serving residents. From that moment on, she knew nursing was her true calling.

Since then, Macey has built wonderful friendships here and learned so much from the experienced team members around her. She’s currently enrolled in school and working hard toward her goal of one day serving patients in the ER, where she hopes to continue making a difference by caring for and helping others.

We are so proud of Macey’s passion, dedication, and kind spirit—and we’re grateful she’s part of the Oak Grove family! ✨

Is there a long-held dream tucked away in your heart? Maybe you’ve always wanted to dye your hair purple, revisit a special place, or finally organize a lifetime of cherished photos. Whatever your dream may be — we want to hear it!

Last year, we helped residents soar in a hot air balloon and ride a locomotive for the very first time. This year, we’re ready to honor even more incredible dreams.

🍩🎉 Yesterday was a sweet day at Oak Grove! Our residents enjoyed a fun Donut Party thanks to the delicious treats provided by Dunes Hospice.

Along with enjoying the donuts, everyone spent time playing games, sharing laughs, and simply having fun together. A big thank you to Dunes Hospice for helping make the day extra special! 💛

Yesterday, we enjoyed a cozy and fun Pajama Party here at Oak Grove! Everyone relaxed in their comfy PJs while enjoying some fun goodies, including a delicious cotton candy cake. 🍰

We also got creative by decorating mini hair brushes, and wrapped up the celebration by watching The Pajama Game together—sharing plenty of laughs along the way! 🎬😄

It was a perfect day filled with comfort, creativity, and great company. We love moments like these that bring everyone together! 💛
