Christine loved getting to help 5th and 8th graders at The Amazing Shake learn practical anxiety management tools before stepping into their challenges! This national competition pushes students to showcase confidence, communication, and poise under pressure. It was an honor to equip them with strategies to calm their nerves and bring their best selves forward.
Thank you to SADD and all the volunteers for investing in the next generation of leaders!

We all want confidence, but we don't always want the process.

I (Christine) with my husband have taken our kids skiing since they were young. Confident is not the word I’d use to describe their first few runs.

But this photo? This was our boys and one of their friend's first black diamond run. Black diamonds are for advanced skiers and present some real challenges. Sure, they fell some, but they did it. They've done it again now with even more confidence.

Trying, failing/falling (quite literally), learning, and trying again was the recipe. If you aren't feeling confident yet, give it time. You're collecting the experience that will one day feel like confidence. You got this!

She also offers private pay options and can supply super bills to submit to your out of network benefits, if you don't have BCBS.

When we think about trauma, we may picture only big, obvious events. But the truth is, trauma shows up in classrooms, clinics, offices, courtrooms, and homes every day. It affects how kids learn, how employees show up to work, how families relate, and how communities thrive.

That’s why it matters that people across all disciplines — educators, medical providers, mental-health professionals, law enforcement, business leaders, pastors, coaches, and anyone who works with people — understand what trauma really is and how to respond well.
