🌍✨ Did you know?

Not so long ago, diseases like scurvy, pellagra, and beriberi were thought to be mysterious curses or plagues. Entire communities suffered — until scientists discovered the real truth: they were simply caused by vitamin deficiencies.
• 🍊 Scurvy → lack of Vitamin C
Possible symptoms include: fatigue/weakness, joint/muscle pain,
bruises easily, slow wound healing
• 🌽 Pellagra → lack of Vitamin B3 (niacin)

💡 Did you know what simple mineral deficiency could be fueling insulin resistance?

Most people think of magnesium only in terms of relaxation or muscle cramps—but it’s actually one of the most important nutrients for healthy blood sugar balance.

👉 Here’s why magnesium matters for insulin sensitivity:

🚦 MTHFR: The Gene That Can Change How Your Body Works

𝙃𝒂𝙫𝒆 𝒚𝙤𝒖 𝒆𝙫𝒆𝙧 𝙨𝒕𝙪𝒎𝙗𝒍𝙚𝒅 𝒂𝙘𝒓𝙤𝒔𝙨 𝙩𝒉𝙚 𝙩𝒆𝙧𝒎 𝑴𝙏𝑯𝙁𝑹 𝒂𝙣𝒅 𝒕𝙝𝒐𝙪𝒈𝙝𝒕, “𝑾𝙝𝒂𝙩 𝙞𝒏 𝒕𝙝𝒆 𝒘𝙤𝒓𝙡𝒅 𝒊𝙨 𝙩𝒉𝙖𝒕?” — 𝒚𝙤𝒖’𝒓𝙚 𝙣𝒐𝙩 𝙖𝒍𝙤𝒏𝙚. (sounds like a cuss word, huh?🫤)

MTHFR stands for Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase (yes, it’s a mouthful).
It’s an enzyme your body uses to process folate (vitamin B9) into its active form — a critical step for your methylation cycle.

Methylation is like your body’s master switch — affecting how you:
• Detoxify hormones, toxins, and chemicals
• Produce neurotransmitters for mood and focus
• Generate cellular energy
• Repair DNA
• Support immune balance

When the MTHFR gene has a variant (SNP), it can slow this process down — sometimes a little, sometimes a lot.

You could have:
🐣been born with these variations(genetics)
🐥acquired them through environmental conditions (epigenics)
🪿or a combination of both.

Somehow, someway that gene SNP switch was flipped!🧬
