We are seeking a Part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who puts the patient's needs first, has a positive “team player” attitude. The prospective applicant must be eager to learn from our Physical Therapists, and incorporate in their work treatments specific to each patient’s needs.
You will be responsible for providing, under the direction of a physical therapist, therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. You will also contribute to program development, quality improvement, and problem-solving to optimize each patient's functional well-being and satisfaction.

What You'll Need

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (New Grads Welcome)
• Current PTA state licensure
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• A results-oriented mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• A tech-savvy skillet with the ability to learn quickly
• A sense of professional curiosity, with a desire to learn new things, and to find/recommend solutions to problems

The responsibilities of the physical therapy technician include helping patients move around and with exercise, as well as organizing and cleaning treatment areas.
Work hours would vary between 20-30 hours.
Physical Therapy Technician Responsibilities:
• Assisting patients with light exercises during physical therapy sessions
• Helping patients to move from room to room
• Cleaning and preparing treatment areas and equipment before and after each session
• Changing and washing patients' linens and pillows
• Letting office manager know when supplies are running low and arranging supplies

• Calling patients regarding their appointments,
• Verifying insurance benefits/eligibility,
• Insurance authorizations,
• Collecting co-pays & co-insurances,
• Faxing, scanning documents and other clerical duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, be reliable, flexible, courteous, helpful and friendly. You must be self-motivated, have a "sense of urgency" in the carryout of all tasks, be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, be able to multitask, and be highly organized. You must be willing to take corrective criticism and be a team player. Attention to detail, and a passion for excellence to help run the daily front office operations are required!
