About Your Therapist
Passion, innovation, attentiveness, experience and a big ol' dose of nerdiness- that's what I bring to my table. I've been a collegiate athlete, a manual laborer, desk worker, collegiate assistant coach and many more things before finding this profession that provides me such a tremendous amount of fulfillment and joy. I completed my massage therapy certification at Ke Kino Massage Academy in Plano, TX. I have completed certifications in Lymphatic Massage from the Chikly Institute. I also had the pleasure of completing coursework from a sports massage innovator of our time, Nguyen Ly. Alongside Ly and a team of top therapists I had the amazing opportunity to work with professional athletes in the season of 2019- with expectations to continue next year. I have completed the coursework for my Master's Degree in Exercise Science from Texas A&M University - Commerce with graduation scheduled for Summer 2020.
I enjoy constantly learning about my field. I strive to take science based approaches to addressing injuries and their prevention, increasing recovery, and improving performance in life and sport. In my time as a collegiate athlete and through work related circumstances I have faced many injuries that could have been prevented by the techniques I now use in my work. I am encouraged that my experiences bring a holistic approach to my work that encompasses the many potential causes of injuries, and the big picture relating to long term solutions instead of only short term relief. I put great effort into ensuring that I empower you with tools to assist in your own healing- stretches, strength work, breath work, and any other things I can find to get you back to the things that bring you joy. I look forward to sharing my passions for health, well being and healing as part of your path to enjoying the things that are important to you.
