We’re proud (and slightly concerned) to announce that our very own Dr. Powlison has been selected as a FINALIST for the 2036 mission to Mars!

He’s over the moon about it and already preparing to bring top-tier vision care to the Martian community. Because even on Mars… you still need 20/20 vision.

Thank you to Jr’s Lone Star Painting, LLC for our fresh paint and FASTSIGNS for our updated sign!

We realized fitting all three doctors’ names on the building was going to get a little crowded, so we simplified the sign to “Eyecare Center.” Not only does it look cleaner, it also better represents the full scope of care we provide.

Beyond routine eye exams, we manage medical eye conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration, fit specialty contact lenses, and treat eye emergencies (often same day) so you can skip the urgent care.

Lauren Claborn, OD, Robert Cole Powlison, OD, and Deborah Herron, OD are all still here and ready to care for you.

Same doctors, same care, and a fresh new look outside!

We had a special visitor at the clinic today! 🦅

A beautiful falcon stopped by with his handler, giving our team and patients a unique and memorable experience. While he couldn’t quite read the eye chart out loud… we’re pretty confident his vision is better than all of ours combined! 👀

Thank you for the visit, it definitely made our day!

We will be closed today, Wednesday, January 28th.

We worked hard to clear our parking lot but salt and a skid steer were no match for this ice, and it still remains extremely slick. We hope to be back to serve you tomorrow after the warm up today.

UPDATE

After checking the current conditions we have made the decision to stay closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th. If you are scheduled for an appointment tomorrow and you have not already received a message please know we will reach out to you when we are back in the office to reschedule your appointment.

We have decided to close our office early today (Jan 23) at 12:00 to allow our staff time to prepare for the upcoming winter storm. Our office will also be closed on Monday (Jan 26) due to the expected weather over the weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We’re wrapping up a little early today — **closing at 12:00 PM** so our team can enjoy the holiday with their families.
We'll be recharging, giving thanks, and probably eating way too much pie. 😄

Our doors will reopen on **Monday, December 1st** with our normal business hours!
