We worked hard to clear our parking lot but salt and a skid steer were no match for this ice, and it still remains extremely slick. We hope to be back to serve you tomorrow after the warm up today.

UPDATE

After checking the current conditions we have made the decision to stay closed tomorrow, Tusday, January 27th. If you are scheduled for an appointment tomorrow and you have not already received a message please know we will reach out to you when we are back in the office to reschedule your appointment.

We have decided to close our office early today (Jan 23) at 12:00 to allow our staff time to prepare for the upcoming winter storm. Our office will also be closed on Monday (Jan 26) due to the expected weather over the weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Today we are celebrating FIVE years with Merisa! To know Merisa is to love her. She works hard, takes wonderful care of her patients, and is super knowledgeable about all things optical. Our office will be closed Friday, December 12th for our staff Christmas party and to complete required updates to our software. During this time all of our systems will be down.

We’re wrapping up a little early today — **closing at 12:00 PM** so our team can enjoy the holiday with their families.

📢 Important Update for Our Patients

Our communications system is currently down due to a server outage. This means automated reminders—including appointment notifications and messages letting you know when your glasses or contact lenses are ready for pickup—are temporarily unavailable. We have also noticed the system sending repeating texts or calls.

This may also affect online scheduling and digital forms completed online.

If you scheduled an appointment online yesterday, November 17th, or today, November 18th, please call our office to confirm your appointment was completed.

Our phones, email, and fax are working with no interruptions.

We’re working with our service provider to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

🚨 Important Update 🚨

We will be closing early this Thursday, October 9th, at 3:00 PM for required computer software updates. During this time our systems will be offline and unavailable.

We appreciate your understanding and patience while we complete these necessary updates.

Normal business hours will resume the following day on Friday, October 10th.

This is exciting news! Yet another treatment will soon be available to slow the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) in children. We currently manage myopia progression in our clinic with MiSight soft contacts, Ortho-K overnight contact lens treatment, and compounded eye drops.

This will be the very first treatment option of therapeutic glasses lenses and will be a game-changer for those who aren’t ready for contact lenses.

As more information becomes available, we will keep you informed. We will be thrilled to offer this new tech as soon as we can get it!

Today, we authorized the marketing of the first eyeglass lenses to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children 6 to 12 years old at the initiation of treatment. https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-authorizes-marketing-first-eyeglass-lenses-slow-progression-pediatric-myopia

The eyeglass lenses may reduce the likelihood of severe eyesight issues later in adult life and carry lower risks than the currently approved treatment alternative for slowing progression of myopia.
