You all remember Donald — he came to Windsor House unfunded and on his deathbed, with doctors saying he had only days to live. Shortly after his arrival, hospice found him a Medicaid-funded bed… but it was hours away. That would’ve meant his wife, who still works full-time at Kroger just to make ends meet, couldn’t visit him.

I also knew that moving him could hasten his decline. So, we made the decision to keep him with us — surrounded by love, dignity, and care.

Look at him now — glowing, reading, writing, talking, eating nonstop! 🥰
