We offer hope by supplying relief, aid, and care for physical and emotional suffering in Denton County.

First Refuge Ministries is a faith-based 501(c)3 non-profit and para-church ministry that exists for the sake of the Gospel and the good of those in need. We do this by supplying medical services, dental services, professional counseling, and food to individuals and families. Denton Food Pantry Hours
Monday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Wednesday: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Thursday: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Cold temperatures are forecasted for this weekend, and for many families and individuals in our community, that means facing the elements without the basic necessities they need to stay safe and warm.

Our Giving Fence at First Refuge Ministries is available 24/7 for anyone in need. It is a simple but powerful way neighbors help neighbors—no paperwork, no questions asked, just access to essential items during a critical time.

First Refuge Ministries is preparing to see an influx of individuals who are needing primary healthcare and oral healthcare due to incoming rise of insurance premiums acorss the nation. This will result in millions of people losing their insurance due to affordability. ❤️‍🩹

Our Medical Department and Dental Department sees individuals and families without insurance so they can access healthcare for their love ones. 🦷🪥🩺🏥

🎄 Holiday Office Closure Notice 🎄

First Refuge Ministries will be closed from December 19th through January 2nd as we take time to allow our staff and volunteers to rest, recharge, and spend meaningful time with their families during the holiday season.

Our offices will reopen on January 5.

We are deeply grateful for the faithfulness and dedication of our team and volunteers throughout the year, and we believe this time of rest is an important part of sustaining the work we do together.
