Professor Justin Trudeau has invited RISE to attend his original production, Slurred Speech, which is a powerful show exploring themes of addiction and recovery.

RISE will host an information table and take part in the post-show talkback session, where audience members can ask questions and learn more about available resources and support.

Welcome to the S.U.R.E. Center

The UNT Substance Abuse Resource Center (SARC) is now the Substance Use Resource and Education (S.U.R.E.) Center. This change will help create a more inviting initial approach for students seeking help or support from UNT services and will help remove the negative stigma behind students seeking assistance.

Though it has a new name, the S.U.R.E. Center’s mission remains the same, and the services it offers include:


  • Individual & Group Education

  • Educational Programming for Residence Halls
