We are grateful for the many ways our community rallies around us and the families in our care; there is no limit to generosity of time, talent, and finances. One of the most meaningful ways you can support us? Pray for us!

Here are our April prayer requests:

🙏 One of our moms and her two girls are getting ready to graduate and be independent at the end of June! Pray that the Lord would bless and direct their transition.

🙏 Our sweet triplets will be in NICU until closer to their due date this spring. Pray for continued healthy growth and no complications.

Thank you for praying with us!

We’re excited to introduce you to another one of our incredible Board Members!

Eric Hinton is the Chairman of the Board at Blue Haven Ranch as well as the founder and director of Solace Renewal Ministry which he launched with his wife, Sarah in 2019.

Eric has spent his career serving in ministry and the nonprofit sector. He began in youth ministry near San Antonio and later served for fifteen years at Dallas Christian College in a variety of leadership roles, including Dean of Students, where he invested deeply in the spiritual formation and development of young leaders.

Today, in addition to leading and growing their Solace Renewal Ministry where they seek to create opportunities for people to come to the Lord for repair, refit, and renewal through guided retreats and coaching, he also serves families in his community as a Realtor and as a certified life coach. He remains actively involved in local church ministry at Valley Creek Church where he leads student and young adult groups. Eric holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Literature and a Master’s degree in Church Leadership.

He and Sarah have two adult children, and live in Double Oak, TX.

Meet our Founder and Executive Director, Aubrey Schlackman!

As Founder and Executive Director of Blue Haven Ranch, Aubrey Schlackman grew up going to the church camp that her grandparents founded in New Mexico called Camp Blue Haven. Growing up in that environment every summer taught her the value of faith, family, the importance of community, and how the Lord can speak and heal through nature.

After having her first two children, Aubrey realized she had a passion to serve single pregnant mothers and their children in a similar way that her grandparents legacy had begun... to create a community built around faith, family, and community in God's beautiful creation here in North Texas.

She is married to Bryan Schlackman who has helped to co-found Blue Haven Ranch, and they, with their 3 children, use their personal farm to host BHR programs every week.

What happens if they’re gone?

We want our moms to feel equipped for the many years ahead of leading their children, and we do this through a variety of different facets.

One that we feel strongly about is our farm therapy program. Not only is it a unique and powerful way to help them move through the trauma they’ve experienced, but it also equips them for career opportunities they would have otherwise not considered.

Teaching our moms how to live sustainable lives through growing their own food sets them up for the future in a really unique and effective way. Through this, we hope to encourage the next generation of farmers and ranchers, too.

We asked, and you answered (and blew us away!)

In just 24 hours, your generosity, prayer, and willingness to share, an amount that felt big became an even bigger testimony of provision almost overnight! This dependable vehicle will now serve as a bridge for a mom who is courageously rebuilding her life.

You didn’t just purchase a vehicle, you removed a barrier and strengthened her confidence. You showed her that she is not walking this road alone.

Thank you for responding so quickly and faithfully.

Do you want to be a part of our team of supporters that are the first in line when these needs are sent out? Join our email list at bluehavenranch.org!

One of our core values at Blue Haven Ranch is setting our moms up to thrive when they graduate from our program.

Recently we had some of our very first moms in our program return to visit and it was such a joy! We did some Valentine’s Day crafts with them and their kids, went outside to get our hands dirty and do a little farm work, and even gave the moms a moment to relax.

These are brave, incredible women. We're grateful for the opportunity to stay connected to them through the years!

“How can we pray for you and the ministry?” We love it when you ask!

We are living proof that God moves when His people pray, and we know our ministry is nothing but blessed by and enriched through your prayers. Would you join us in praying for these things below? We are eager to testify to the faithfulness of God for each and every one of them.

Here's the list for March⬇

Pray over employment and education, and for moms to continue growing in their fields.

Pray for provision of transitional housing for our moms getting ready to graduate.

Thank you for joining us in covering our families in prayer. 🙏
