But today, that is not the story for R and her two beautiful girls! Because of the incredible work R has done to show up for herself, the path forward for her and her daughters is not what it would have been. R now shares partial custody of S and has since given birth to a second daughter!

Because of the supportive community and comprehensive programs available to R during her time at Blue Haven Ranch, she has learned skills and found support that has changed the trajectory of their lives. Her story now is one where she gets to raise her daughters, knowing she is capable, strong, and that she has the tools, skills, and community to lean on when she needs it.

Recently, we had the privilege of sharing at a women’s golf tournament that intentionally made space not only for connection, but also for meaningful impact through support of a local charity.

This time of year marks the anniversary of our first Blue Haven Ranch support group night back in 2021. One mom, two mentors, and Aubrey, seated around a table, painting nails for Valentines Day. A seemingly ordinary way to bond as women, establish trust, and love on the mom quite literally in our own backyard.

Only the Lord could take something so seemingly simple and birth all of this. 🥹

The Lord has done more than we could have ever thought to ask or imagine when we began taking steps of obedience in that season. We see His fingerprints everywhere we look. 💙

This text had our whole team in tears recently!

"I was just showing E the bus on the map app as we were tracking it this morning because the driver was a bit late. I was showing him the icons and I said, “this is E’s house and this is the bus. It's still far so we wait.” Before I even finished the sentence he said, “no it’s not a bus, it’s a rocket ship!” 🥹🥹🥹 Surely enough, when the “rocket ship” arrived he started counting down from 5 and then he went “blast off!” into the bus! What joy 🤩 I’m almost bawling my eyes out because he never used to pretend play. Good morning and have a blessed day everyone!"

Not only do we get to see our moms thrive, but also their children! E is a child with autism who previously communicated nonverbally. Giving him some of the big pieces that make life feel safe and secure, as well as surrounding him with people that truly care for him, is critical to his flourishing and growth. Reading a text like that one will never get old! The ripple effect of gospel discipleship, supportive community, and farm therapy is truly remarkable. We celebrate little E and his courageous mama!

Witnesses families heal, grow, learn, and thrive is a beautiful gift.

A secure home and a reliable vehicle are things many of us rarely have to think twice about. But for the families we serve, provisions like these can truly change the trajectory of everything.

In 2025, we were honored to provide safe, secure housing for seven families, and supply transportation through new or repaired vehicles for six families. These supports, along with so many other services we offer, are often key factors for our moms in exiting a broken system and bringing stability to their homes they lead.

For the women who come through BHR, choosing life extends not only to their unborn children, but to themselves and their families as well. It is a privilege to come alongside them with meaningful support, and an even greater privilege to witness lives being strengthened and futures reshaped along the way.

Let this be a little square on your screen pointing you to what’s true when all in the world seems lost: people are still showing up, still doing good, and still offering up their time, talents, and resources to help those in need.

To look around at our yard a packed house full of people doing what the Lord has called them to here in our community reminds us that God is at work and cares deeply for the people He has placed in front of us.

Support for our moms needs to last far beyond birth! We get to walk with these moms and their children up to 18 months after the birth, and in doing so we get to celebrate such sweet milestones! It’s always such a joy to celebrate these babies that have been born into the Blue Haven Ranch family. We’ll never tire of speaking life, purpose, and JOY into each one of them through celebrations like this one. Happy, happy birthday sweet girl! You're one in a melon! 🍉

We had the incredible opportunity of spending a recent weekend at the Sparrow Collective Identity Course with a few of our moms. These women were poured into through the curriculum Sparrow has created, and it was a joy to witness them understand even further the purpose God has placed inside of them.

If you look closely at this picture, you see a beautiful example of how our community comes together to stand in the gap for single moms working to transform their futures. What a gift that programs like this one are set up to make access possible for all women–not just the ones that have family or friends available to care for their children so that mom can get away.

This mom was met with an invitation that said, “Come! We’ll be right there to hold the baby or help so that you can get the most out of the program.” This is a picture of the beautiful synergy that takes place when we understand others’ life circumstances and enter in with a willingness to walk alongside them.

There are so many scenarios where women are faced with an unexpected pregnancy.

We have been specifically called to the single, pregnant woman raising other children already, facing unimaginable obstacles ahead of her. We want to walk alongside and advocate for HER in every way that we can.

We are committed to her when she feels no one else is, and we believe in the story the Lord has written for her and her children: one of a future and a hope.

One service you may not know we provide our mothers is financial coaching.

Yes, we provide rent, childcare funds, and paid utilities for each family during the program. But during their time with us (outside maternity leave), our moms also must work either part-time if they are continuing their education or full-time. Alongside this, each mom receives financial coaching and new income goals to help them pay off their debt, improve their credit scores and work toward establishing savings. In 2025, seven women were provided with financial coaching!

That means seven families are now better equipped with long-term support that actually makes choosing life sustainable for the future, not just today.

At Blue Haven Ranch, choosing life is only the beginning.

This year, we’re especially proud of these numbers from our end of year report. In 2025:

3 jobs were started
2 businesses were launched
3 mothers enrolled in education tracks

There’s an old saying about giving a man a fish versus teaching him how to fish. We believe the same is true here.

In a state where the crisis facing single, pregnant mothers is complex and often misunderstood, advocacy has to go further than a moment of intervention. It has to create real pathways forward.

When we come alongside a mom, we’re not just supporting her pregnancy. We’re helping her build a life where she can raise her baby, provide for her family, and move toward stability with dignity and hope.

This is what transformation looks like: changing the system by empowering women with tools, support, and opportunity, not just a temporary solution.
