The era of that “HIV = death sentence” story is over. With modern medicine, we’ve got the power to live long, healthy lives, but not if we stay silent or misinformed.
The stats say it clearly: Adolescents and young adults (ages 13–24) account for 19% of all new HIV diagnoses.
Why does this matter? Because stigma still exists. Because PrEP & PEP are tools many don’t know about. Because testing is simple, and knowing your status gives you and your community strength.
So here’s the ask: Start the conversation. Make testing normal. Use the tools. Protect yourself and the people you care about.

Heads Up, North Texas! Pertussis (whooping cough) cases are climbing across the state, especially during the holiday months. The safest way to protect your family is to stay current on Tdap vaccines and boosters. Immunity can fade, even if you’ve been vaccinated before.
Our health centers are here to support you with appointments schedules and vaccine confidence. If you’re due for a booster or want to check your child’s vaccine record, we’re here to help!

We’re grateful for our continued partnership with Denton County! Recently, Chief Executive Officer Doreen Rue accepted a check from the Denton County Commissioners CT through their Social Services Agreement, approved in the FY 2026 Budget.
She’s pictured alongside Kristen Howell from the Children's Advocacy Center for North Texas (CACNT), who also received funding to support critical services in our community.

Do you have a chronic illness such as diabetes or hypertension? HSNT’s primary care providers will work with you to develop a care plan that works for you! Prescription assistance is available for those who do not have health insurance.
In addition, HSNT offers behavioral health services provided by LCSW that work with you and meet you where you, helping you to achieve your mental health goals.
Most services are available via telehealth for those that are not able to come into the office.
