🌟 Dietary Week Employee Spotlight – Hortencia 🌟
We’re kicking off Dietary Week by celebrating one of the sweetest hearts in our kitchen — Hortencia!
As a dedicated Dietary Aide, Hortencia prepares our alternate supper meals and creates delicious homemade desserts that our residents look forward to every day. Her care, consistency, and love truly shine through in everything she makes. It’s no surprise she’s known as the sweetheart of the kitchen!
Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, Hortencia has called Texas home for 25 years. Family means everything to her — she’s a proud mom of four, a loving grandmother to seven, with one more grandbaby on the way!
For almost two years, she has been an important part of the University Rehab family, bringing warmth, kindness, and comfort to both residents and staff through her cooking.
Thank you, Hortencia, for the heart you put into every dish and for making our kitchen feel like home. We appreciate you today and every day! 💙
