Hospice work can be rewarding, satisfying and grueling. not only do you have your relationship in rapport with the client/patient but you also have a relationship and hopefully a good report with the family the grandparents, the grandchildren, and the cats and the dogs in the house. Some houses are quiet and calm. Some houses are filled with chaos with the family, the cats and the dogs and the grandchildren. Long hours can be filled with certain this times or not any. Patient cooperation is crucial to good care and sometimes you’re dealing with the patients idiosyncrasies, fears, Panic attacks interest, prayers and many questions. The care and comfort of the patient is my number one priority. After that all the other things are part of it but direct and immediate care and concerns and attention goes to the client. conversations in communications with the nurses the bathers, the family and the client are all extremely important every single piece. If you go home, really tired or exhausted many times it’s a good kind of tired not bad.
