Shinnery Oaks Community wants to honor those who shaped our community. Every day is full of opportunities for our residents to engage in social events, hobbies, and other recreation as well as enjoy excellent dining options. The county and its residents saw the need for something special and out of this vision came Shinnery Oaks Community. Since 1949 with the opening of the hospital, Yoakum County has been dedicated to providing quality healthcare. Yoakum County has once again shown its commitment by building this beautiful facility. Our goal is to provide a caring, homelike environment where residents, families, and employees are loved. We view this community as the residents' home and we make every effort to provide as many choices as possible in activities, schedules, and dining options to make it comfortable for them. We welcome family and friends with a number of social areas to visit and events families and friends may participate in. Families and friends are encouraged to visit as often as they want for as long as they want. Location
