With the hustle and bustle of the holidays in full swing, getting ill isn't uncommon (think stress, large crowds, less sleep than normal, etc.).

Here are some quick tips to help you stay healthy throughout the holidays and the rest of winter:
❄️ Get seven to eight hours of sleep
❄️ Get your flu shot - it's not too late!
❄️ Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water
❄️ Refrain from or reduce alcohol consumption
❄️ Ask others for help with chores, the kids, shopping, etc.
❄️ Keep skin hydrated with an all-natural skin care lotion
❄️ Wash your hands well (and often!)
❄️ Carry and use hand sanitizer that's at least 60% alcohol content
❄️ Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about adding any needed vitamins to your health regimen

This National Influenza Vaccination Awareness Week is an important time to remember that it's not too late to get your flu shot!

Some additional tips to help stop the spread of influenza (the flu), include:
➡️ Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water several times a day, especially after being in large groups of people, with others who are ill, or touching commonly used surfaces such as door and faucet handles, bathrooms, and kitchen counters
➡️ Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the arm crease above your elbow
➡️ Keep your hands away from your nose, lips, and eyes

November 18 Kicks Off U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week!

This year's focus is >> Improve Antibiotic Use, Improve Health Equity

When it comes to antibiotics, health inequities can result from less-than-ideal antibiotic prescribing practices that impact health outcomes, and result in an increase in antimicrobial resistance or adverse events.

Join us and the CDC November 18-24 as we recognize the importance of improving antibiotic prescribing and health equity, and slowing the spread of antibiotic resistance. Here are a few ways you can get involved!
