✨Intermittent Auscultation✨

So, what is intermittent auscultation (IA)? IA is a form of fetal monitoring and an alternative of continuous monitoring. IA monitors the fetal heart rate and is recorded before, during, and after a surge. This is to asses for any decelerations or accelerations. To be a good candidate, you should be a lower risk pregnancy/labor and without Pitocin or epidural. If you didn’t know this was an option, advocate for your preference!

This amazing mother. She did the ceremonial and sacred act of cutting the cord herself. Just like she was the only one that birthed that sweet baby. She did it. The cord may be cut, but the bond can never be. They are still one.
And to any of those who didn’t know you could cut your baby’s cord: hell yes you can.
