I move like the moon
An endless dance between
shining bright in the afternoon
Allowing others to see
Then withdrawing back
Hiding my face
An endless pace.

With tears in my eyes
My screams echo towards the stars
We make so much noise
But don’t know who we are.

The corona of my smile so dim
They wondered where I’d been
“In the depths of my own head”
I said
To be with my eternal sin

So when the moon asked me to dance
I had no choice
Because when god tells you you’re ready
You stand up
And learn to walk steady.

These made me giggle… so now I’m putting them here so you giggle, too ❣️ I hope 10 more things make you laugh today 😌

This. This is the place I visualize when I meditate. I can just see my spirit team assembling here with flowers in their hair, herbs in their hands, and wisdom to share. It fills me with love to see this place.

Where is that special place for you? What do you visualize when you meet with your spirit team?

Ahhh yes, the elusive Colorado state flower, the Columbine.

Even though this flower can be tricky to find, it sure is easy to spot. Driving up to this hike, I thought to myself “I wonder if I’ll see any Columbines up here”…. Not even five minutes later, I start seeing them along the road. I gasped in awe and almost asked my friend to pull over so I could stop and look at it, but I had a feeling there would be more.

Sure enough, these stunning flowers were all along the trail, and every time I saw one, I was surprised at just how much I loved them, and felt drawn to their innate beauty and power. When I returned home, I decided to do some rea search on the meaning of these flowers and found the following…

“They are a representation of aspiration since they can thrive at such great altitudes. They are also symbolic of tenacity and endurance. The Columbine is a flower that believes ‘Nothing ventured, nothing gained’. The Columbine, being an alpine flower, is associated with spiritual elevation. The Columbine reminds us that there is much more going on in the world than what we see and feel. The Columbine’s mantra is ‘Faith, not fear’”

Reading this, I chuckled, cus’ who knew a flower could represent so much of what is going on in my life… and who knows… maybe sometimes I feel like a columbine myself, a rare beauty hidden deep within my home state.

I find myself at a beautiful space in life. Birthing something new in the world can be challenging and uncomfortable at times.

Recently I was speaking with a good friend about this business and she told me something beautiful, she said “You’re pregnant with a beautiful gift that you want to offer the world. If you were pregnant with a child, you wouldn’t force it out at 4, 5 months, no, you have to let it grow until it’s fully developed and allow it to come into this world when it’s ready, don’t force anything.”

I found it to be a perfectly beautiful analogy for what I am working on right now. Each time I take a step towards preparing for this “birth” a feel an immense love and gratitude wash over me, confirming that I am doing exactly what I need to be doing.

Are you inducing the production of your gift to the world? Don’t force it… take a deep breath, and allow it to flow 🌊

From this weekend’s hike… it felt like a portal when I passed through it.

The best part of this hike was how challenging it was. I was huffing and puffing all the way up, and told myself “you’ll be there before you know it”

Sure enough, right after I said that, I looked up and saw this beautiful natural structure. The intensity of the hike was so worth it for the views at the top.

Hi friends! I hope you all had a a relaxing and healing weekend -
I took some time off socials to participate in life these last few days😌

I got to see an old friend who I haven’t seen in 15 years 👯‍♀️
I hiked up to Royal Arch in Boulder and saw so many incredible views 🏔 flowers 🌸 and birds 🦅(might be my new favorite hike)
And! I had the honor of working/attending my very first pride festival here in Denver! 🏳️‍🌈 The vibes (and lemonade) were absolutely immaculate! 🏳️‍⚧️

It was so good for my soul to connect with childhood friends, my community, and nature!

This tree holds a sacred place in my heart. Mighty and tall, it’s trunk so large I would need three of me just to get my arms all the way around. At first I was fascinated by it’s size, but I returned to sit under this tree for how it treated me.

On days where I was happy, I frolicked, laughed, and danced to music around her.
On days where I was angry I shouted and and stomped on the ground around her.
On the days I was overwhelmed, I would curl up on a blanket and read aloud fantastical stories and we would escape reality for just a moment together.
On days where the tears wouldn’t stop falling from my eyes… I hugged her, and she held me, heard me, and healed me.

People think I’m joking when I say that at one point in my life, tree’s were my only friends. No matter what you believe or how you want to look at it, it was true. I came to visit her almost everyday, to hug her and talk to her and the trees around her.

These trees were my support, my guidance, my lifeline for a few months at one point. I don’t know who, or where I’d be if it weren’t for these incredible beings.

And I’ll tell ya what… they give the best damn hugs a person could ask for.

There is so much more I could say about trees… but I’ll leave you with this. Hug them, sit with them, care for them, and ask them for their medicine… you might be surprised at how much they have to share.
