Savio House

Savio House is a non-profit child wellness organization dedicated to keeping children with their families.

We have supported families across Colorado’s front range for more than 50 years and serve more than 2,000 families annually. Savio believes in keeping children and families together, even when they are struggling with very serious problems like child abuse, mental health issues, and drug abuse. Every day we intervene with families in crisis because, with our help, children and families avoid being torn apart and instead learn how to live safe, healthy and happy lives.

For many Savio families, the holidays bring stress instead of celebration. With limited resources, parents often can’t afford even the basics, let alone gifts for the holidays.

When you Adopt-a-Family, you make sure that kids have a gift to open in December and can talk about this cherished memory with peers when school starts back up. You allow a Dad to have pots and pans so that a family can make home cooked meals that they can bond over in the evenings. Seventeen-year-old Kenna found her life feeling like a cage. With few opportunities to spread her wings in her rural hometown and the stress of moving apart from parents battling addiction, she found both her academics and mental health in decline. But with the support of her grandparents and Savio's Youth Behavioral program, there was a chance to embrace a season of homecoming and discover all of life’s possibilities.
