Over the past years I have had the opportunity to meet many survivors from sudden cardiac arrest and unfortunately many families who have lost their loved ones – often times unnecessarily. More than 1100 people each day lose their life to sudden cardiac arrest – as a result I am completely dedicated to educating and promoting the importance of public access defibrillation (PAD) programs and high-quality CPR in communities. By doing so - we can increase the number of properly maintained AEDs and those trained to confidently use them and provide CPR. If I can be of any help to you in regards to any specific questions about AEDs or in need of an AED, laws in your area, training in CPR/AED/First Aid/Severe Bleeding, or logistics for implementing a life-saving program, please ask.

Hello Everyone! Exciting news! You are invited to attend a CPR training class on June 13th starting at 9am at the TBK bank in Strasburg (Room in the back). This is a CERTIFIED class through the American Red Cross and we will be covering Adult and Baby CPR/AED/Choking/Bleeding Control/First Aid.

We are already half-full so please reach out ASAP to let me know if you are interested or if you have any further questions on price etc.

Strasburg HOSA is excited to partner with Byers High School HOSA to host a Community Hands-Only CPR Night on November 12 in the Mundell Gymnasium at Strasburg High School.

This free event gives community members the chance to learn hands-only CPR, with an option to pursue full certification if interested. Certified instructors and local EMS personnel will lead the training, and our HOSA students will be on hand to help with registration, setup, and participant support.

This night promotes community safety, leadership, and service, while giving our HOSA students a valuable opportunity to apply their learning.

We’ll have proper supervision, safety measures, and liability waivers in place for all participants. Everyone is welcome!
