Healing isn’t just about working through pain—it’s also about letting in joy. Trauma can make joy feel out of reach, but you deserve to feel happiness, ease, and connection.

Start small. Notice the warmth of the sun, a kind smile, or a deep breath that feels good. Give yourself permission to feel joy, even in little moments. Your nervous system will thank you. 💜

Many people struggle with feeling truly connected to their bodies.

Stress, trauma, societal pressures, constant screen time, and neglected self-care can slowly pull that connection away—often without us even noticing.

Understanding why this disconnection happens is an important step toward healing, and learning how to return to the body can create profound change.

Body-centered approaches such as Somatic Experiencing®, co-regulating touch, EMDR therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy offer supportive pathways back to regulation, safety, and self-trust.

Support is available for those ready to reconnect, restore balance, and move toward healing—one grounded step at a time.

Some days, the world feels loud, heavy, and uncertain. So much happening all at once.

And yet… here you are. Still breathing. Still showing up. 💛

At STP, we believe that even in the hardest seasons, especially in moments like these, your nervous system carries wisdom. The kind that knows how to adapt, pause, and find steadiness again. Trust doesn’t mean ignoring reality. It means remembering that you have inner resources, support, and resilience, even when the ground feels shaky.

Healing isn’t about pretending things are fine. It’s about learning how to stay connected to yourself when they’re not. One breath. One choice. One moment at a time.

You’re not weak for feeling overwhelmed. You’re human.
And you don’t have to navigate this alone.

We’re here—holding space for regulation, repair, and hope. 🌱

Meet our new therapist at STP: Gabby Rivas 🌿

Please join us in welcoming Gabby Rivas (she/her), one of our new somatic therapists at Somatic Therapy Partners.

Gabby is a queer-identified, trauma-informed therapist who supports adult women navigating complex trauma, C-PTSD, PMDD, and nervous system overwhelm. She helps clients reconnect with their bodies, soften survival patterns, and rebuild trust from the inside out.

Her approach is slow, relational, and deeply compassionate, especially supportive for those experiencing anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, emotional numbness, and difficulty setting boundaries. Gabby believes symptoms are intelligent adaptations, not flaws, and healing happens through safety, presence, and being deeply seen.

She integrates somatic therapy, parts work, polyvagal theory, sensorimotor psychotherapy, mindfulness, yoga therapy, and spiritual inquiry. Gabby also specializes in PMDD and cyclical nervous system work, supporting clients in honoring their body’s natural rhythms with more ease and self-compassion.

Gabby is now accepting clients at STP and would be honored to support you on your healing journey. ✨

It's important to know how our bodies react to stress. These reactions, called survival patterns, help us deal with tough situations. There are three main patterns we often see:

𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: When we feel threatened, we might get tense, stay alert, and react strongly. This is our body preparing to defend itself.

𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: Sometimes, our reaction to stress is to run away or avoid it. This can mean avoiding the situation either physically or emotionally.

𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲: When things feel too overwhelming, we might shut down. This can make us feel numb, disconnected, or like we're not really present.

Understanding these patterns helps us manage our reactions better. At STP, we help people recognize these responses and find healthier ways to cope. This not only helps individuals feel better but also allows them to bring positive changes to their families and communities.

When we feel dysregulated, it’s easy to jump straight into techniques to calm ourselves down. But what if we paused and listened to our body first?

Dysregulation often shows up as tension or activation in the body. Instead of overriding those feelings, try asking yourself:

What’s making me feel unsafe or disconnected right now?
Where do I feel this in my body?
This isn’t about avoiding regulation practices—they’re helpful! But by exploring what your body truly needs in the moment, you build a deeper connection to yourself and create more lasting capacity for calm and balance.

Meet Our New Therapist at STP: Paige Davies 🌿

We’re so happy to welcome Paige Davies, one of our new somatic therapists at Somatic Therapy Partners.

Paige supports adults in healing from trauma and repeating relational patterns rooted in early life experiences. She believes authentic connection and the body’s wisdom are at the heart of healing, and she offers a grounded, compassionate space where change can unfold at your pace.

Her work focuses on nervous system regulation, processing the past without reliving it, and creating healthier, more fulfilling ways of relating to yourself and others. Paige often works with anxiety, stress-related chronic health concerns, parenting patterns shaped by childhood experiences, and young adults navigating identity and family dynamics.

Paige integrates Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, parts work, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, alongside mindfulness and breathwork—blending evidence-based care with deep respect for the body.

If you’re ready to shift old cycles and feel more at home in yourself, Paige is now accepting clients at STP. ✨

Welcome to a new year, where the world clamors for quick fixes and productivity hacks. (Ugh, the pressure, right?)

But consider this: our bodies hold wisdom far beyond the rush of instant changes. Healing our nervous systems demands patience, consistent effort, and most importantly, space – space to rest, pause, and gently support ourselves if we choose to shift.

Instead of the rush for monumental changes, what if you simply tuned in to your body for a few moments each day? 💃

What revelations might unfold if you offered yourself the grace of noticing? Would your body sway to movement or seek stillness? Would your eyes close in reflection? Maybe a song whispers through you, or a dance beckons?

Imagine the possibilities when you grant yourself those precious moments to explore and embrace your nervous system, rather than forcing it to change.

May this year grant us the generosity of time and space to honor our bodies, our nervous systems, and our needs. Here's to a year filled with grace and self-love as we journey inward. ♥️

As this year comes to a close, I’m pausing to honor everything we carried.
The hard moments.
The healing moments.
And all the quiet courage in between.

Not every step was easy, but every step mattered.

And if there’s one intention I’m carrying into the new year, it’s this: more gentleness with ourselves.

Healing doesn’t need a deadline.
Growth doesn’t need pressure.
And the nervous system doesn’t thrive on hustle. It thrives on safety, care, and connection.

As the new year begins, may you feel supported. May your body find more ease. May your heart feel a little lighter. ✨

From all of us at Somatic Therapy Partners, we’re wishing you a year filled with regulation, resilience, and meaningful connection. We’re here with you—this year and beyond. 🤍

Happy New Year! 🎉

The new year begins right here. In closeness. In laughter. In feeling held.

It’s in the small moments— arms wrapped around each other, shared smiles, a sense of we’re okay together.

When our nervous systems feel supported, love flows more easily. There’s more patience. More presence. More room to truly see one another.

This year, I’m choosing gentle healing.
The kind that starts in the body and ripples through families.
The kind that helps us feel safer, more connected, and more at home with each other.

If your hope for the new year is deeper connection, calmer moments, and a softer way of being together, Somatic Therapy Partners is here to support you. Begin the year with care. Book a session through the link in bio. ✨

Here’s to a year filled with warmth, safety, and love that lasts. 🤍

New year. Same you. A more supported nervous system. ✨

As the year turns, I’m not wishing for hustle, pressure, or “new year, new me” energy.
I’m wishing for steadiness. For breath. For a body that feels safe enough to soften.

Because the greatest gift we can carry into the new year isn’t perfection.
It’s a regulated nervous system and a heart that feels connected—to yourself and to others.

At Somatic Therapy Partners, we support healing at the root. Not just managing symptoms, but gently rewiring how the body holds stress, trauma, and survival patterns so change can last across generations.

If you’re choosing:
• deeper regulation
• more capacity for joy and connection
• healing that honors your whole story

We’re here to walk with you. 🤍
