Better sleep starts with better habits, but sometimes habits alone aren’t enough.
These tips are a great foundation for anyone wanting to improve their sleep quality. And yet, so many of my patients follow every single one of these, and they still wake up exhausted, unrefreshed, and foggy.
Why? Because no sleep routine can fix an airway that’s struggling to stay open at night.
If you’re doing everything “right” and still not sleeping well, your airway may be the missing piece. Signs like snoring, teeth grinding, waking up with headaches, or needing to use the bathroom multiple times at night aren’t just inconveniences. They’re your body’s way of telling you something deeper is going on.
As a biological dentist who specializes in airway health, I look at sleep from a completely different angle than most providers. Your mouth, jaw, tongue posture, and breathing patterns all play a powerful role in how well you actually sleep.
Save this post as a reminder to start with these habits, and if they’re not enough, come see us for a comprehensive airway evaluation.
You deserve sleep that actually restores you. 💛
