Asking for help is a tiny skill that makes a big difference.
Try one step tonight! Give the words, play a short role-play, or teach a quiet signal. When kids feel safe asking, they practice trying again.
3 steps:
• Give the words: “I’m stuck.” / “Can you help me for one minute?”
• Practice with play: make asking a short game.
• Teach a quiet signal: a hand on heart, a card, or a thumbs-up.
When they ask, listen, name what you notice, and offer one small option (don’t fix it all). Try it for a few nights and watch how asking becomes easier. Save this post to use when you need a reminder, and share it with a parent who’s teaching this too!🌱🤍
