A little pause was deeply needed to reset my nervous system.
I realized I wasn’t operating from a place of power.

Taking a step back didn’t mean I was ignorant to what’s unfolding in the world. It meant I recognized my own limits and chose to tend to my sanity, my body, my spirit, so I could show up more whole.

I spent time loving on my people, my fur babies.
Basking in sunlight that still shimmers.
Watching clouds drift by, reminding me that nothing stays frozen forever.

Those small, gentle moments helped me regulate back into myself. Back into a steadier place. Back into power.

It feels good to create again. Even while still holding grief, anger, and uncertainty. Even while feeling powerless at times. I’m choosing to trust that this, showing up, creating, speaking, loving, is my contribution.

And that it matters.

Life feels so heavy right now. So many of us are struggling to find our strength, our power, our sense of justice. I’ve caught myself feeling guilty for moments of happiness when there is so much hatred unfolding around us.

But hate is what they want. Fear is what they want.

Love, community, and connection are what elevate us. They are what make us stronger.

Saturday night was a reminder of that truth, an evening filled with community, healing, expression, connection, movement, music, and artistry. A space where hearts could breathe and bodies could remember joy without apology.
