My father had mid stage dementia. These sodas sat bundled on his stairs for a week. Yesterday he decided to untangle the sodas and he did this.

Taking care of someone with dementia can be challenging. Doing meal prep today, having to blend foods due to loss of teeth. I have found healthy ways to thinken food with natural nutrients instead of thick-it. I use protein powders, ground flax seed, and tapioca starch. I mix veggies in and more meat to add bulk to the liquid. I do taste test all these blended meals, and they are delicious. I get great comfort knowing Im making healthy meals for an elder in need. So we got chili, gumbo, pot pie, chicken soup, chicken salad, peach cobbler (with spinach, you cant taste it), and apple pie. I add extra spices as they are loosing there tatste buds.
