Monday Motivation

Are you struggling to get going today?
Already overthinking before the day even starts?

Are you walking into a week full of chaos…
stress…
headaches…
chronic pain…

Because here’s the truth most people don’t want to hear,

You don’t just “end up” in chaos.
You stay there.

You stay in the overthinking.
You stay in the stress loops.
You stay in the patterns that keep your body exhausted and your mind loud.

And I get it…
when your nervous system is dysregulated, chaos feels normal.

But normal doesn’t mean healthy.

Here’s where most people get stuck…

They understand it.

But nothing changes.

Because healing doesn’t start with fixing.

It starts with safety.

And for a lot of people…
healing actually feels unsafe at first.

Slowing down feels uncomfortable.
Rest feels wrong.

Doing less feels like losing control.

That’s not resistance.

That’s your nervous system protecting what it learned.

“The nervous system is not resisting change; it is protecting what it learned once kept it alive.”

This is why:
• detox doesn’t stick
• supplements only go so far
• mindset work feels temporary

Because your body is still operating from survival.
And until that changes…nothing fully lands.

if your gut is always off…
if your mind won’t shut down…

It’s not because something is wrong with you.

It’s because your body learned how to survive.

“The body is not malfunctioning. It is responding exactly as it was taught.”

Read that again.

You are not too anxious.
You are not too sensitive.
You are not too much.

What looks like personality…
is often physiology.

What looks like anxiety…
is often preparedness.

What feels like dysfunction…
is often protection.

And you cannot “mindset” your way out of something
your body learned before your mind even understood it.

Your body didn’t just “start acting this way.”

It learned.

Before you had words.
Before you understood stress.
Before you could explain what you were feeling.

Your body was already learning:
• whether it was safe to relax
• whether it needed to stay alert
• whether rest was allowed

So, if you feel:
– constantly on edge
– exhausted but can’t slow down
– tense for no clear reason

That’s not random.
That’s not weakness.

That’s your nervous system doing exactly what it was taught to do.

“The body learns long before the mind has language.”

Most people are trying to fix symptoms…
without ever understanding what’s driving them.

Fatigue.
Brain fog.
Chronic pain.
Hormone issues.
Gut problems.
Sleep that never feels restorative.

These aren’t random.

They’re often the result of a dysregulated nervous system, a body that has been living in survival mode for far too long.

When your nervous system is stuck in stress, your body doesn’t prioritize healing.
It prioritizes protection.

That means:
• Increased inflammation
• Poor digestion
• Hormonal imbalance
• Slower recovery
• Constant tension and exhaustion

And over time… it becomes a loop.

👉 Stress → inflammation → more symptoms → more stress → deeper dysregulation

That’s what I call The Inflammation Loop.

You can take all the supplements, try every diet, or chase every quick fix, but if your nervous system doesn’t feel safe, your body will keep pulling you back into that loop.

Healing doesn’t start with forcing the body.
It starts with regulation.

Most people think mental health is an adult issue.

It’s not.

Kids feel everything.

They feel:
• the tension in the home
• the stress their parents carry
• the pressure from school and sports
• the things they see, hear, and absorb every single day

Even when no one is talking about it.

And the problem is…
they don’t have the words for it.

So it shows up differently.

It shows up as:
• behavior changes
• emotional outbursts
• shutting down
• anxiety
• trouble sleeping
• “attitude”

And too often, we try to correct the behavior
without ever asking what’s happening underneath it.

Kids aren’t just “acting out.”
They’re responding to what their nervous system is experiencing.

They are learning:
• how to handle stress
• how to feel safe
• how to regulate

from the environments they’re in.

Which means their mental health isn’t separate from ours…it’s shaped by it.

This is why these conversations matter.
This is why we have to start paying attention earlier.

Because if we don’t teach them how to understand their body and emotions…

they grow up trying to fix symptoms they were never taught to understand.

And we wonder why so many adults feel stuck.

Self-sabotage doesn’t look like failure.
It looks like hesitation.
Procrastination.
Overthinking.
Starting… then stopping.

It looks like saying you want to heal, but avoiding the very things that would actually move you forward.

And here’s the hard truth most people don’t want to hear:

Self-sabotage isn’t laziness.
It’s protection.

Your nervous system will choose what feels familiar over what is actually better.

So if chaos, stress, or survival mode is what your body knows…
peace can feel uncomfortable.
Growth can feel unsafe.
And healing can feel like a threat.

So you pull back.
You distract yourself.
You convince yourself “now isn’t the right time.”

Not because you don’t want better, but because your body hasn’t learned how to hold better yet.

That’s why forcing change doesn’t stick.
That’s why “just be disciplined” doesn’t work.
That’s why you keep ending up in the same place.

You don’t need more willpower.
You need regulation first.

We’ve been through a lot…
Early mornings. Long days. Moments where I really needed you…

…but I can’t keep doing this.

You had ONE job…make coffee.
Not flood my counter.
Not overflow my cup.

I tried to be patient.
I tried to give you chances.
I even adjusted the cup like, “maybe it’s me…”

It’s not me.

We all go through it. Every single one of us.
