Judi's House

Judi's House Judi's House is a community-based nonprofit bereavement center for children and families.

Founded by former NFL quarterback Brian Griese and his wife, Dr. Brook Griese, Judi’s House is a tribute to Brian’s mother, Judi, whom he lost to breast cancer when he was 12. As Brian grew up grieving this loss, he made a commitment to use his resources to positively impact grieving children. The Grieses discovered that there were no organizations devoted to this population and dedicated themselves to offering a safe, compassionate environment where children could grieve and begin the lifelong healing process.

Grief touches so many of us, often in ways others may never see. Today, on Random Acts of Kindness Day, we’re reminded that even the smallest gesture can make a meaningful difference for someone carrying a loss.

Kindness doesn’t take away the pain of loss, but it can create moments of comfort, understanding, and hope.

Let’s honor this day by spreading a little extra gentleness to those around us. You never know who might need it. 🫂

Last week, a few of our incredible interns and fellows spent the day diving into a powerful diversity training, exploring new perspectives, building skills, and strengthening the way we support grieving kids and families. We love seeing our future professionals lead with heart, curiosity, and courage. 💙

The Journey is a monthly giving program designed to provide dependable support to Judi’s House to fulfill our collective vision that no child should be alone in grief.

Grief is a journey that many are unprepared to take. By joining this community, you are helping grieving children and families find hope in times of sorrow and connection in times of loneliness along the road of their journey towards healing.
