If you’re experiencing pain from spinal stenosis (which could be back aches, neck pain, sciatica, maybe even numbness and tingling), you’re probably looking for the fastest and easiest way to relief.

For quick relief from new pain, we recommend a couple types of over-the-counter pain relievers. In some cases, this along with light stretching is enough for people to move on with their lives, and the pain eventually subsides.

But, if pain lasts over 2 weeks, it’s time to see a specialist who can do a full analysis and get you on track to safe and medication free pain relief.

One of our pain management specialists Tyler Woodworth MD wrote a full blog on this subject. To learn more check it out at the blog here: https://www.neurosurgeryone.com/blog/best-painkiller-for-spinal-stenosis/

Greg is a lifelong motorized bike enthusiast and rider. From from go-karts and mini bikes to on-road and off-road motorcycles, he’s always ridden hard.

But when debilitating back pain set in, he found himself barely able to walk more than 50 feet, let alone get on a bike.

When Greg met with Dr. Beckman and his team, they talked through his options and decided the TOPS procedure was the right fit to help ease his back pain while maintaining the motion he needed to keep living the life he wanted.

Just days after the procedure Greg was back on his feet, and a full recovery led him back on his bike. Not just cruising along, either! But as Greg puts it: Going full on Mad Max style!

New back or neck pain shouldn’t mean hours in the ER.

When pain shows up suddenly and you’ve never dealt with spine issues before, knowing where to go can feel overwhelming.

That’s why we created our Back & Neck Pain Clinics where you can be seen within 5 days – often sooner – and get started on the path to pain relief.

Led by spine-specialized providers like Cate McGraw, ANP-C, these clinics are made for patients with back or neck pain who need answers and want to avoid the ER or urgent care.

Why come to the Neurosurgery One Back & Neck Pain Clinic?

- No referral required (unless your insurance requires it – few do)
- Seen quickly by spine specialists
- A full exam + thoughtful look at your history
- Referred immediately to the right next step: PT, medications, pain management or surgical care

Urgent care and ER teams do important work, but they often can’t connect you to the follow-up spine care you need. Our goal is to help you get into the right pathway early, without unnecessary waiting or escalation.
