The Spearly Center hosted a festive Winter Wonderland Raffle & Ice Cream Social! Residents enjoyed homemade vanilla ice cream with toppings- generously sponsored by Ovation Hospice and Little Man Ice Cream.

Creativity was on full display as residents sketched snowmen, reindeer, and Santas to earn raffle entries for a variety of prizes. From festive snacks and sodas to games and electronics, the excitement was high—and best of all, every participant walked away a winner!

For nearly 25 years, Alpha Dental has been visiting the Spearly Center, and we are so incredibly grateful for the care, consistency, and heart they bring to our residents. Dr. Donald Conner and his wonderful assistant, Janina Conner, don’t just provide dental care — they bring joy, laughter, and genuine connection with them every time they walk through our doors.

Dr. Conner is an absolute delight to be around. His joyful spirit, humor, and ability to make anyone smile truly set him apart. Janina’s compassion and kindness shine just as brightly, and together they make every visit feel comfortable, respectful, and even fun for our residents.

They love coming to the Spearly Center, and it shows in the way they serve — with commitment, warmth, and heartfelt care. We are beyond thankful for their many years of dedication and for the countless smiles they’ve helped create along the way.

Thank you, Alpha Dental, Dr. Donald Conner, and Janina Conner — you are so appreciated!

The Spearly Center recently hosted "Sweet Traditions," a unique event that transformed our community into a bustling bakery. Created and led by Tamara, this experience brought leadership, associates, and community members together for an afternoon defined by connection and joy. With the leadership team pitching in to create a stunning bakery-style spread, and associates contributing everything from homemade desserts to favorite treats, every detail reflected a spirit of celebration.

The heart of the event was the incredible teamwork; associates worked side-by-side to decorate, serve tea, and es**rt community members, taking true ownership of the experience. The most magical moments were the looks of surprise and happiness on the faces of community members as they entered and chose their own treats. It was a powerful reminder that the greatest gift we can provide is an experience that makes everyone feel seen and loved.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Tamara and the entire Juniper team for their hard work and dedication. Your effort and coordination turned this vision into a beautiful reality for everyone involved!

Brady from our Powerback Team took therapy beyond the building walls and into the fresh air. Using paddles and balloons, Brady worked one-on-one with a resident to support upper body strengthening, hand-eye coordination, and overall motor control.

This engaging activity focused on improving arm strength, coordination, visual tracking, and functional movement—all while encouraging participation in a fun, motivating environment. By incorporating creative tools and an outdoor setting, Brady helped turn therapeutic exercise into an enjoyable experience that supports both physical progress and emotional well-being.

Moments like these highlight the PowerBack team’s commitment to innovative, resident-centered care—meeting individuals where they are and helping them build strength one movement at a time.

The Spearly Center has been filled with holiday cheer as our AIAS programs continue to host festive weekly celebrations for our community. The gathering brought Christmas spirit to life with live old-time rock and roll holiday music from the incredible Manny G’s.

Our community partners helped make the day extra special— Ovation Hospice warmed everyone up with a cocoa bar and all the fixings, while Connections and Perennial Advantage sponsored this month’s birthday celebration cake. Despite a little wind, the weather held out just long enough for us to enjoy music, laughter, treats, and time together outdoors.

A huge thank you to Manny G’s for an unforgettable performance—we’re excited to welcome them back again in the future. Moments like these reflect what our AIAS programs are all about: connection, celebration, and creating meaningful experiences for residents.

When Denver decided to turn the wind up to maximum, our team did the opposite — we showed up!

Even with power outages and flying debris, our neighborhood cleanup crew stepped out to grab what we could before it took flight. Small actions, big heart, and a whole lot less trash in the wind.
