Behind the scenes, care goes far beyond what you see, and our Restorative Team plays a vital role in that mission. From ensuring wheelchairs are safe and functioning properly to repairing essential equipment, their work directly impacts the comfort, safety, and independence of everyone in our community every single day.

In this photo, Brandon is in action, taking the time and care needed to make sure everything is just right. It may seem like a small task, but it is a crucial part of maintaining a high quality of life for those we serve. We are grateful for the dedication and attention to detail that keeps everyone moving safely and confidently.

Moments like this truly highlight the heart of our community. A beloved community member—known for spreading kindness as our “Sunshine Ambassador”—led the way in creating a heartwarming note for one of our CNA's who was experiencing a difficult time. With support from fellow neighbors and Juniper associates, she designed a beautiful poster filled with love and encouragement.

We presented the gift as a group to remind her that she is seen, supported, and deeply appreciated. These moments go beyond traditional care; they are about the deep connection, compassion, and support we share with one another every day.

Each April, we celebrate a dual milestone: our Juniper anniversary and the birthday of the woman who inspired it all!

April 6 marked the birthday of Lynne Katzmann’s grandmother, Oma. A true original, Oma survived two world wars, ran her own business in the 1920s and rode her motorcycle well into her 70s. Lynne chose April 6 to launch a bold new vision of what it means to grow older.

Nearly 40 years later, our veteran leadership team carries Oma’s spirit into everything we do. But what truly sets us apart is the depth of experience we have gained over these 38 years, having navigated an evolving industry and the journey of getting older together.

Our strength lies in our shared history, providing the deep roots for a strong culture and a pioneering spirit to keep pushing boundaries and exploring new possibilities.

We welcomed The Senior Shop, a charming mobile store filled with thoughtful gifts and essentials, to The Spearly Center. Over 55 community members enjoyed shopping right from the comfort of their home, sparking excitement and a wonderful sense of independence.

Adding to the magic, Miss Senior America, Natalie, joined us to visit with everyone throughout the building. Her kindness and warmth made each person feel valued as she shared conversations and took photos.

While many didn't know what to expect, the day ended with smiles all around. We are grateful to The Senior Shop, LLC for bringing such joy and connection to our community and highly recommend their wonderful services!

We are proud to recognize Nina Lozano as our Hero of the Month! As a dedicated housekeeper in the Spruce neighborhood, Nina is known for her calm demeanor, warm smile, and a work ethic that brings comfort to residents and colleagues alike. Having been with us for just over a year, she takes immense pride in ensuring every room is welcoming and meticulously cared for. When she isn't building meaningful relationships within the community, Nina enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and church community.
