This directly affects our patient population, and so CMC will be implementing a pop-up food bank in our lobby. Starting October 1st, we will be offering Beyfortus, the RSV monoclonal antibody, in clinic. Here is what you need to know: RSV monoclonal antibody treatment is highly effective in preventing RSV-associated hospitalization in infants. Monoclonal antibodies are not vaccines. They do not activate the immune system. Rather, the antibodies themselves protect against disease. A baby is protected with RSV antibody if a mother receives RSV vaccine during pregnancy, at least 2 weeks prior to delivery....
