SLEEP = RECOVERY. Specifically between the hours of 10pm and 2am because of hormone production necessary for muscle healing. But the 🔑 is to get into your deep sleep cycle by 10pm, which means screens off by 8pm and in bed by 9pm for the adolescent 🧠. BONUS POINTS for reading once the phone is docked as the eye movements required by reading signal the brain to relax, quickly getting you into a deep sleep cycle.
While this study was for adolescent bodies, the same results have been found in adult studies.
