moving inward is the only way through.
As the seasons change and the days get darker and cooler, we are called to go inward more. Physically, emotionally, spiritually. How much are you allowing to come to the surface? The discomfort is the pathway to freedom; it’s a beautiful time to nurture that inner child again too. A time to allow the emotions to move up and out. Grieving old patterns, beliefs, parts of self and identity. This is the shadow work. There is also a wave of collective grief permeating the planet as more souls are awakening to themselves and the systems. Always ask yourself ‘is this mine or am I transmuting the energy?’
Some ways to move through these transitional times:
🍂get 15-30 minutes of vitamin D every day. Sunshine improves our mood, balances our internal circadian rhythm, and boosts our immunity.
🍂 eat warm, grounding foods such as stews, soups, oatmeal, root veggies etc. to help your physical vessel adjust to the changes and balance your root chakra
🍂write a letter to your old self or your inner child. Honoring them and also asking them if they need anything.
🍂find joy in the simple things like a butterfly landing on you or a child smiling. Cultivate this wonder.
🍂go for a nature walk and tap into your 5 senses. What do you see? What do you taste? What do you touch? What do you smell? What do you hear?
🍂tap into your personal love language and do more of that! There are online quizzes if you don’t know. Mine is personal touch and I do self oil massages or get massages done to honor myself.
🍂journal your emotions or ‘brain dump’ where you free write anything that is on your mind. Release judgment of self and rip it up afterwards if it feels resonant.
🍂create an altar for your ancestors. October is a beautiful time to honor them and thank them for their strengths as well as release the burdens that they held.
🍂remember that you are always changing and shifting. Allow the grief to rise to the surface, you are growing.
