Honestly, I love this piece so much, I almost didn’t list it!

Mantras are traditionally made with 108 beads for many reasons. 108 is the numeric equivalent of the universal sound “Om”, the number of energy meridians in the body, the distance between self and God within, & more.

With every bead strung, the mantra “ong namo guru dev namo” was sung. Traditionally, you sing or think mantra while making the mantra with each bead, but also when using the mala for meditation - saying one mantra as you trace your fingers across each bead, 108 times.

Ong namo guru dev namo roughly means “I bow to the divine teacher within.” 🤍🙏🏻✨
